No Timelines.. just traveling..

Here is a post on Google maps showing our expected travels in the next few days!

No timelines.. just going where we please as we please - ON VACATION! :>)

Oct - Trip around Florida!

Today is Friday and we finally got to FL after spending two days on the road. The ride down here from VA was rainy and boring. We arrived at Pecan RV Park in Jacksonville, FL around 4:00PM and set up the camper. The weather here is cloudy and about 75 degrees, there is a nice wind blowing.

I contacted my Uncle Steve who lives down here and we all went out to supper at the "Longhorn Steakhouse" - really good meal! Tomorrow we are going to Steve's house and he is going to show us around the "Northern FL" area, Fort Clinch ect. It is now about 3:30AM Sat - I am up, could not sleep!

Knitting Socks!

I have always enjoyed some type of craft, needlework, cross stitch, and lately - last two years I have fallen in love with yarn and started knitting. I have knitted a large bag and felted it.. turned out pretty good... knitted many scarfs... but ran out of people to give them to. Then one Tuesday night I was at my favorite Knitting Store "Pins & Needles" in Ruckersville, Va. and she was showing someone how to knit socks on one circular needle! Well I watched and decided I wanted to try my hand at this. I started out with some inexpensive acrylic yarn... but it was a blue and brown self patterning yarn.. I have finished my first sock!! After much ripping and fussing of course! I was very proud of myself and will try and insert a pic here.

I am now on my second sock in the "Boston Marathon" sock yarn... a much nicer yarn and attempting to knit my second sock.. here I go... two mismatched socks.. but oh well. I will have a pair soon. I just cannot stand to be without a "project! Whoops! This pic is of my dog Daisy.. watching me knit! :>)
